Precision NX7 Pro Slope Review|High Performance For Half The Cost
I couldn’t wait to do my Precision NX7 Pro Slope Review. A high performing laser rangefinder for a fraction of the cost of your standard premium rangefinder. I was intrigued to see how it would perform.
The Precision founders wondered why golfers can’t buy high quality rangefinders for reasonable prices. What they did was create their own high quality laser rangefinders, and you guessed it, for reasonable prices.
The Precision NX7 Pro Slope (Check Price) is designed to rival the Bushnell Pro X2 & V4 Shift, but the Pro NX7 is more than half the price of the X2.
Yes you read that right, more than HALF the price of the Bushnell X2. But are you getting half the product? I am here to tell you.

Precision NX7 Pro Slope Review

First Impressions
The NX7 Slope (SP) is by far the coolest looking laser rangefinder on the market, in my opinion. Some might think it’s a bit loud, but I just think it looks so cool. It has futuristic style with an ergonomic design with no slip grips for complete control.
Adaptive Slope
Rangefinders with slope are in high demand right now. The slope of a hole can drastically change the yardage of a shot. For example a slope downhill might play -10 or -20 yards. The same for uphill shots.
The NX7 slope (SP) feature is amazing. It displays both the actual yardage and the adaptive slope or ‘Plays Like’ yardage. This allows you to select the best club for the adaptive yardage.
You might already know that slope is not legal to use during tournament play. But don’t worry, the slope feature can be turned off, making it legal to play.
If you play on a course with hills, the adaptive slope is the perfect to consider. When you are practicing, you can take note of slope variations that you can remember for competition play. This can save you a few shots each round, depending on how many hills and dips your course has. Slope is an amazing feature that shouldn’t be overlooked.
If you are unsure about legalities of slope, I have a full article on it HERE.
Quick Readings
What really stood out for me while doing my NX7 Pro Slope Review was how fast the NX7 picked up the yardages.
The scope is clear and easy to ready. Simply aim the device at your target and within seconds you get a pulse vibration and your yardage.
The Pulse vibration is Precision’s answer to the Bushnell’s Jolt Vibration. When you are locked on to the target the rangefinder gives off a little vibration. It gives you that extra peace of mind that you are locked onto the target.
Design
Like I mentioned, the NX7 Pro is one of the best looking rangefinders on the market. In my opinion the best. But hey that’s just me. I like the loud design. Precision didn’t want to be boring, they took a chance, and I think it paid off.
Precision didn’t just throw this device together. They looked at every detail. There’s a really cool no slip grip built into the frame of the rangefinder. When you cup your hands around the device, you can feel in complete control. You don’t want to drop your rangefinders. But if you do, the device is shock proof.
The no slip design is perfect if you are the type of golfer who plays in all sorts of weather, especially the rain. The NX7 is also waterproof, so the rain won’t harm the NX7 Pro rangefinder.
Small & Compact
The size of the device is very compact. It reminds me of the design of the Nikon Coolshot 20 & 40.
If you are short on storage or maybe carry your bag, the NX7 Pro Slope is a brilliant device to consider. I tend to carry my golf bag a lot. I like to keep my golf bag as light has possible
The device is small enough to fit in your pocket. So rather than having to take it in ad out of your bag after each shot, you can carry it in your pocket between shots.
The carry case is also pretty cool. It has an easy to open hoop lock, so you don’t have to open and close the zip each time.Simply open to zip, leave it open and loop it.
Warranty
I love companies who offer long warranties. Generally it shows that they stand by the product which is great, but more importantly know that they have built a high quality long lasting product.
Precision offers a brilliant customer service and long warranty time. The 2 year warranty covers any performance defects and also lifetime battery replacements.
Something you don’t see too often with physical products is a money back guarantee. You may see 14 days money back guarantee, but often times that’s not enough. Precision offers a 90 days money back guarantee. If you don’t like it, Precision will take it back and refund you.
When you want to upgrade your device, Precision will offer you a 30% trade in allowance to use against your next precision device.
NX7 Pro Slope Price

The NX7 is a premium rangefinder with budget pricing. Like I said, it’s the score reason why their founders created their amazing product.
They couldn’t understand why rangefinders were so expensive and they wanted to do something about it.
Right now on Amazon, you can pick up the NX7 Pro Slope for $219 (Sp). Now to be that’s an amazing price when you consider the premium features it offers.
When you match the features against other Bushnell Rangefinders, you will see just how well priced the Nx7 Pro really is.

Precision NX7 Pro Slope Review – Final Thoughts

I think the Precision NX7 Pro Slope (Amazon Link) is one of the best rangefinders available. It’s also without a doubt the best rangefinder for the money. The NX7 offers high performance for a fraction of the cost compared to major rangefinders of the same performance.
The design is amazing, and I’m sure you have realised by now, I absolutely love it. It’s a cool design that stands out from the rest. Precision took a chance, they wanted to be different and I think they have succeeded in this.
The yardages are extremely accurate. The optics are clear and easy to read. It picks up the yardage quickly and gives off the Pulse Vibration to let you know you are locked on. The adaptive slope feature works great, and more importantly it can be switched off making it legal for competition use.
The customer service and warranty a company offer is a major factor I consider in my decision making. Precision offers excellent costumer service that you will appreciate if ever needed.
A 90 day money back guarantee, 2 year warrantee and of course a 30% trade in offer when you want to upgrade make Precision a worthy company to work with.

I have found the NX7 Pro far inferior to the Bushnell I had before. Quite often it reads completely wrongly. Sometimes so out that it is obvious but sometimes you believe it and take 3 clubs too much for the shot required. I will go back to a Bushnell
I do tend to use a free GPS app as well on my Apple watch or my iPhone just to give me that extra bit of reassurance that the yardage is correct. Hole 19 is probably my favourite because it’s easy to use, cheap and seems to work well. It’s quick and easy to move the pin around the green for an accurate yardage and comes in handy for laying up and yardages to hazards.
