TecTecTec VPRO 500 Review – Is it a Bargain?
It’s no surprise the that the TecTecTec VPRO 500 (SP) is one of the best selling range finders on Amazon. The VPRO 500 one of the best laser rangefinders for the money current available. Read on for my full TecTecTec VPRO 500 Review.
TecTecTec VPRO 500 Review
TheTecTecTec VPRO500 is very easy to use. Simply point and press the power button to the flag.
The TecTecTec VPRO 500 (Amazon Link) design is cool black finish with a sleek and soft coating.
It’s compact and lightweight that will help you if you are golfer who likes to carry to the golf bag. Some rangefinders can be surprisingly heavy.
The VPRO 500 is lightweight and portable; measuring just 104 x 72 x 41 mm and weighing just 185g.
The VPRO 500 Laser Rangefinder recently upgraded their popular rangefinder for 2019 which I go into more detail below in the performance section.
The rangefinder itself is with a water and dust resistant; has a durable body, perfect for carrying in your golf bag and being used in any conditions.
Performance
With a yardage range up to 540 yards with continuous scan mode, advanced Pinsensor technology, you really are getting a high performing rangefinder with 1 yard accuracy.
When doing my TecTecTec VPRO 500 Review, I did notice the improved scanning mode. It lets you get more accurate yardages quicker.
What it does is over objects such as mounds, trees, bunkers, hazards, etc to make sure it’s acquiring the flag stick. subjects, perfect for measuring golf flags, hazards and wooded areas (Yards or Meters).
The optics are brilliant. Through the lens you are getting premium, ultra clear, multilayered optics with an easy read display.
It will display the yardage and also the battery indicator so you can keep an eye on your battery and not let it run out half way through a round.
TecTecTec says it works well in all conditions but I do think it does not perform as well in the fog or rain, however most rangefinders are victim of this issue.
Fog and rain tend to affect the laser readings hitting the target. If you are nice weather golfer, then don’t worry this wont be an issue for you.

No Slope Feature
When doing my TecTecTec VPro 500 Review, I was sad to know their was no slope feature. This was asking a lot to be fair.
Looking for a Slope feature on top of what I am already getting for less than $150 (Check Price HERE), is a little greedy. But you have a solution.
You can get the upgraded VPro 500S (SP) for $30 bucks extra on Amazon. Personally, if it was me buying the VPro 500, I would upgrade to the slope version.
Cool Carry Case
The carry case for the TecTecTec VPRO500 is also pretty cool. If you do know your rangefinders, you will notice the VPRO500’s carry case is almost identical to the Bushnell carry cases.
It’s strong, durable and has a similar pop out hook you the carry case stays slightly open so you can have quick easy access during your round rather than constantly opening and closing the slip. I’m swayed which carry case looks cooler.
Excellent Customer Service
One thing that must be credited is the customer service TecTecTec provide. Their customer support will go to great lengths to make sure they accommodate you anyway they can.
It’s no surprise why this is one of the best golf rangefinders available to buy right now.
If you are looking for one of the best budget rangefinders available then the TecTecTec VPRO 500 could be the one for you.
This is a brilliant go to option if you’re looking for a less expensive laser rangefinder that performs well.
Price
As you might have noticed above, you can pick up the TecTecTec VPro 500 for less than $150.
Is the VPro 500 worth it? I would say Yes 100%. You are getting a high performing laser rangefinder for a fraction of the cost of the likes of a Bushnell Laser Rangefinder.
However, I would maybe consider getting the Slope version, the VPro 500S Amazon Link).
For a small increase in price, you are getting what many other manufactures charge $50-$100 more for that feature.
